Our Pastor
Pastor Tim and his wife Julie became the Senior Pastors of our fellowship on Father’s Day of 1999, and what an incredible journey this fellowship has been able to embark on since that time! Pastor Tim brings a fresh wind of the Spirit to this fellowship through his preaching and teaching of the Word of God. He is constantly challenging us to step out in faith and let God be God in us. Pastor Tim has a pastor’s heart, and his passion is to see lives saved, touched, healed, and set free for the Kingdom of God! Once that takes place, his passion is to see the people of God propelled into their destiny that God has for their life.
Pastor Tim serves the Appalachian District of the Assemblies of God as Presbyter of Section Two, and he also serves on the Board of Directors for Appalachian Teen Challenge. He was just recently endorsed as a National Motorcycle Ministries Chaplain for the Assemblies of God as well. Julie serves this fellowship in various areas also. Julie takes care of our children and helps them with our Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade. Our children are learning how to give so that our missionaries can reach out to those in other areas of the world! Julie also serves in the area of hospitality in helping with dinners and banquets that we have throughout the year. Julie is indeed a blessing to this fellowship in so many ways!
Pastor Tim and Julie have two daughters, Lindsey and Hannah, and a wonderful son-in-law, Lindsey’s husband, Justin Miller. Pastor Tim and Julie are very proud of their family.

When Pastor and his family came to Bluefield, God had already given Pastor Tim the vision to build a new facility that would better serve our fellowship, community and region. Through much prayer, tears, hard work, dedication, and the support of a great congregation, in September 2008 we had our Dedication/Celebration at East River Church!
We look forward to the things that God is going to do in and through this fellowship as we follow the leading and direction under which Pastor and his family serve! At times we just have to stand back and say, “Look what the Lord has done!”
